We Take A Look Back On How Fashion Has Always Done A U-Turn!

Fashion is ever evolving and as most of us fashionistas know – fashion will always do a U turn. We will see trend after trend reappearing as the years go on, so if any of your moms have your grandmothers clothes boxed away in the attic- I would get rumaging quick!

Here we look at some of the TV stars who’s style has inspired trends to reappear and grace the rails of all our fav high street stores in recent weeks and months!

Enjoy,

1. Laura Ingalls Wilde

As Laura Ingalls Wilder on Little House on the Prairie, Melissa Gilbert wore her fair share of high-collared, full-skirted dresses. The last time the look was in vogue, Laura Ashley was the biggest name in fashion, but this season, Valentino sent out silhouettes well suited to the prairie.

2. Hillary Banks

Hillary Banks, the shopping-obsessed TV host and cousin to Will Smith’s Fresh Prince, was often seen in a suit (at least when she wasn’t wearing a cocktail dress). Banks, or Miss Hillary as Geoffrey so disdainfully called her, preferred bold graphic patterns and big hats!

3. Chrissy Snow

Everything about this iconic image of the Three’s Company cast is worth bringing back for spring, but Suzanne Somers’ beige “running” look made a major comeback—and not at American Apparel. Marc Jacobs whipped it into something almost princesslike at Louis Vuitton. The white cuffs and jeweled collar make an outfit out of what’s essentially a leotard—and Somers would’ve loved the tiara.

4. Carrie Bradshaw

Sarah Jessica Parker’s character spent much of seasons three and four chasing after Aiden in knee-length skirts and teeny-tiny crop tops. Since Bradshaw’s outfits turned girlier and sweeter as the seasons progressed, she’d probably be onto Nina Ricci by now. Of course, she’d add some edge with a pair of Altuzarra pumps and this season’s mush have- a box clutch.
