Two men from Northern Ireland and one man from the Republic have appeared in court in Newry, charged with terrorism offenses.
34 year old Brian Anthony Sheridan, from Blackwatertown, Co Armagh, 35 year old Brian Francis Cavlan from Dungannon and 39 year old Dominic Dines, from Bree, Castleblaney, Co Monaghan have been charged with possession of firearms, with intent to endanger life, preparation for committing acts of terrorism and possession of articles likely to be of use to terorists.
They were arrested after police officers discovered weapons and ammunition in a car, in Keady, South Armagh.
In statements, the three men told the court the items were not intended to kill anybody – they claim they were to be buried.
They were remanded in custody to appear again in court on May 17th.
