Scientists have found a new strain of HIV.

A 62 year old Cameroonian woman has been diagnosed with a strain which is clearly linked to a type mostly seen in gorillas.

She is the only person known to be infected with the new strain though scientists are worried it’s silently spreading as normal tests don’t pick up the virus.
